HI CLINT,
BEFORE I BEGIN - NO THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT BUT RATHER A COMPLIMENT ON THE
APPEARANCE OF THE ENTRANCE WAY. I LIKE SEEING THE BRICK SHOW THROUGH; IT
GIVES A RICHER LOOK. PLEASE THANK THE PERSON OR PERSONS THAT DID ALL THE
HARD WORK.
April 2011
Several "Thanks for all you do!" have been gratefully received.
Thanks for all you do. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face always shine upon you.
Wanted to say thank you for displaying Marjorie's furniture photo's at the pool area and on the Heather Lakes swap. YOU MAY REMOVE THESE ITEMS, she has gotten them all taken care of and will be shipping out tomorrow, 7/2/08. Again, I say thank you for providing this service for her.
Bob - this is really good news. (ISO rating) Thanks for the information.
The Web site is great as is, but I'm sure anything you add will be also be fine. Bob, I must commend you on the fact that you have never responded to the nasty nit picking stuff that has been sent out intended to belittle you.
I pulled up your site this morning and for the first time I was able to view the island tour. It was really great.
Hang in there Bob, you're doing good things for our neighborhood.
All we can say, Bob, is – Keep up the good work!
We need a place for posting homes for sale. People drive through and often ask if any homes are on the market. This would help the sellers and the lookers.
Was thinking we should have a cigar evening once a week at the Amenity center. You know, some good hearted comraderie, nice cigar, conversation and a nice drink. I wonder how many amongst us would participate? Mayhaps the "idea coulb be floated" just to get some reactions! Another use for our Amenity center to promote another alternative activity......

We should enclose a portion of the deck and it would not be too expensive, expecially with all the talent in here. We could have exercise class for 50+, card games, rent a movie night, etc. As a matter of fact, the space that could be enclosed is useless at the moment. We already have the kitchen and restrooms.

The grass on our Common Areas (eg. front entrance area, around pool, and along trail around large lake is getting to be more weeds than grass!! Also, the grass on the trail is allowed to get too high.
Can we get something done about this??
(Note: Situation is better since all areas were fertilized and dam is getting cut once a week.)

Hey Bob,
You can get great baked goods at Piggly Wiggly!
(now it's a Lowes!)

Hi Bob- We need a category...to ask other neighbors about things in the area..... Like- Is there a favorite drycleaner you can recommend? Good restaurants?? Does anyone now of any local specials? Anyone have a cake made at the Lowes Foods bakery? Any Good? Favorite wine?? Favorite recipe? Grilling hints or recipes?? and hobbies....a poll maybe?? Find out what others do.... Question and answer area....maybe you already have that?? My main question is Lowes Foods bakery....should I have a cake made there?? This category will ring some interaction...like your contests.

Would like to see a fundraiser...so that we can update the entrance. Maybe a fountain....something exciting....Lets change the boring entrance. especially being the first development in SC...

We need more pool furniture!!!
There is not enough when the pool gets busy and some is in a shabby state.
Let's also think about the possibility of a larger pool!
Our community has grown.
(not suggested by a member of the Amenity Center/Pool Committee.)

HOA should have a Mission Statement.
Suggested by a member:
"The Heather Lakes Homeowners Association, a self managed HOA, shall promote a friendly family neighborhood environment while assisting members in maintaining their investment. This shall be accomplished through various programs that support a clean, crime free, and aesthetically pleasing neighborhood."
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Plant Bradford Pear, or similar spring flowering trees, along Heather Lakes Drive from Route 17 to the end of the metal safety railings. This would make the entry to Heather Lakes more beautiful and welcoming.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The HOA should adopt the AARP recommended HOA Bill of Rights.
(check the HOA/POA page for info.)

Put water fountain in the main lake. Keeps water moving along with added beauty.
***************************
Place strings of low voltage rope lighting on the bridge railings all year round. It looks so wonderful during the holidays, it should continue to be highlighted all year!!
**********************************
Next Christmas season we can all participate in a Luminaria Project (check out Lake Vista at the end of Argyle} and turn Heather Lakes into a "Festival of Lights". Any funds raised would go to a local charity, such as North Strand Helping Hand! [details will follow]
****************
Participate in the Backyard Habitat Program (as some of us currently do). This would preserve and enhance our environment and make it even more enjoyable and usable for all of us.
***********************
Halloween Parade and Costume Contest next year starting at the pool and with a Trick or Treat time frame!
****************************
4 Way Stops at the intersections of Heather Lakes Drive and both Glen/Lake Vista & Argyle/Burning Tree for safety reasons.
